
Welcome to the kitchen of Lendy Lux. I’m so thankful for your interest in healthy living and ultimately making life easier in the kitchen. I was born in the big city of New York and raised as a country girl in Mississippi. I can remember a lot of hot days in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother. It took a lot of work to prepare food for a big family and for some reason it was very interesting to me. I would sit in the kitchen with my granny until everything was done and it was time to set the table. My sisters and brothers always wondered why and even then I didn’t know why. My favorite show to watch was Emeril live on the Food Network channel and in that moment I was completely tuned in. I knew that I wanted to be a chef, but then as I got older I began to doubt my dream of being a successful chef. After high school, I went to college and majored in International business. During the summer of my sophomore year of college, I decided to study abroad in Paris. I lived with a French family there and my host mom was the best! She showed me a new way of cooking and every meal was finger-licking good. I came home from Paris and decided that it was time to lose a little weight. I’d gained a few extra pounds and was very eager to lose the weight the quickest way possible. Well, I developed a lot of unhealthy habits that only made me lose water weight. I tried every weight loss shake, cleanse, and pill that I thought would speed up the process. It wasn’t until I started doing my research that I realized that I had been doing everything all wrong. The food entering my body caused me to be moody, bloated, and completely unhealthy. I want you to be able to start a journey with me for a better lifestyle.
